“We should consider them traitors,” Greene told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on The Source with Kaitlan Collins on Wednesday. “They’re traitors, the ones that refuse to release the Epstein files, want to cover up for pedophiles and rapists and all sorts of disgusting things in these files. Those are the traitors to the American people, and they should be ashamed of themselves.”The public fallout between Trump and Greene, once a staunch ally of the president, began after Greene expressed support for the release of the Epstein files. Their fallout has extended into several online fights with Trump referring to her as “wacky” and a “Traitor to our Country.”
After the passage of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, the Department of Justice released the 3.5-million-page document, covering a wide range of investigative records and representing only a portion of the broader collection. Trump, who had yearslong social and professional relationship with Epstein that began in the 1980s and extended into the 2000s, was mentioned in the files.
