Ashley Oosthuizen, left, with her mother, Lynn Blignaut, during a visit at a Thai Prison.
The possibility of returning home or being selected for electronic monitoring as part of her sentence may become a reality sooner rather than later for Ashley Oosthuisen, the young woman from George who is imprisoned in Thailand for drug-related charges.
This comes after a second Royal Pardon following the Thai Queen's birthday last week, which further reduced her sentence of 11 years and six months by one year and seven months.
This means Oosthuizen only has four years and three months left of her sentence.
She may also be selected for possible electronic monitoring.
