In an industry traditionally dominated by men, 25-year-old mechanic Keresse John of Richards Bay is proving that passion, determination and skill know no gender boundaries.
Working at Audi Centre Richards Bay and approaching her fifth year in the motor industry, John has built a reputation for her dedication to automotive repair.
Her journey into the world of mechanics began long before she stepped into a professional workshop, inspired by a lifelong passion nurtured by her father, Selvan John.
"My inspiration for cars came from my father. He raced in big events and built many race cars during my childhood. I have been assisting him and learning under his wing ever since I was a little girl, and everything I know today is because of him," said John.
