On Thursday evening, June 11, Iranian media reported hearing several explosions in the maritime area of the city of Sirik. Citing local sources and residents, they said the sounds appeared to be related to clashes or an exchange of fire in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.

So far, no official military or law enforcement agencies have commented on the sounds. Sirik is a small but strategic port located approximately 200 kilometers from Bandar Abbas.

Despite a fragile ceasefire between the two countries, Iran and the United States have repeatedly attacked each other’s positions over the past two days. The Revolutionary Guards said they had targeted American bases in the region.

A few hours ago, U.S. President Donald Trump announced in a post on Truth Social that the U.S. military would target Iran with more intense strikes tonight, and threatened that his country would seize Kharg Island and other Iranian oil facilities in the near future.
