Heatwave is forecast in north Telangana districts till July 13, 2026

The southwest monsoon has covered parts of Telangana. Yet, the heatwave conditions are forecast to persist till the weekend. Hot conditions continued in a few districts as the highest temperature on Wednesday (June 10, 2026) was 43°C and 18 districts recorded maximum temperature exceeding 42°C. India Meteorological Department (IMD)-Hyderabad Centre on Thursday (June 11, 2026) has forecast heatwave conditions as very likely in isolated pockets in seven north Telangana districts for Friday (June 12, 2026). Besides this, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds are predicted in 18 districts.
