Even though Daniels was selected at pick two in the 2024 NFL Draft, he wasn’t viewed extremely highly yet in fantasy football since he hadn’t taken a snap yet.Going back to the 2024 FantasyPros ADP, Daniels was the QB12 with an overall rank of 102. Based on that draft position, Daniels was a phenomenal pick that year.In 2024, Daniels ended up scoring 20.9 PPG, making every fantasy football owner extremely happy to have drafted him. The next year Daniels would see his ADP rise to QB3, 28th overall but he scored just 16.3 PPG in seven games because of a few injuries. With Daniels now having time to recover, we’ll talk about if you should draft him in your fantasy football league or not.Jayden Daniels 2026 Fantasy Football OutlookWhat makes Daniels such an interesting fantasy football option is the rushing upside that he offers. Although Daniels had 3,568 passing yards and 25 touchdowns as a rookie, his rushing numbers are what allowed him to hit that 20 PPG mark.MORE FOR YOUThat season, Daniels had 891 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. While expecting Daniels to rush for that many yards is a tough ask, it’s reasonable as long as he stays healthy and doesn’t get banged up.Daniels is a fantastic athlete and heading into year three, he should be taking steps forward as a passer as well. With that in mind, everything points to Daniels being able to repeat or at least come close to that 2024 season. The last key part of this equation is his supporting cast.Terry McLaurin led the team in receiving with 1,096 yards while Zach Ertz came in second with 654 back in 2024. McLaurin is still on the roster but now 30 years old while Ertz is not currently with the Washington Commanders.Outside of that, Washington didn’t have a single other receiver crack over 550 receiving yards, so it’s not as if this unit was elite by any means. The Commanders drafted Antonio Williams in round three of the 2026 NFL Draft and brought in Chig Okonkwo during NFL free agency. Overall, I’d say the weapons for Daniels are very similar to what he had as a rookie. Now the reason that Daniels was such a good pick as a rookie is because of the QB12 ADP. Right now, he FantasyPros 2026 ADP has Daniels as QB4, ranked 66th overall in 2026.The only player I’d take Daniels over that’s ranked ahead of him is Joe Burrow at QB3. That being said, the overall difference is only four spots.Caleb Williams and Drake Maye are both directly behind Daniels but given the difference in rushing upside, this makes sense from a fantasy football perspective. After seeing the ADP, Daniels is a player that I’d feel good about taking in a 2026 fantasy football draft. It’s not as if Daniels is some sleeper, but given his 2026 outlook, his ADP of 66 overall is very fair.
