She started 12 league fixtures last season, scoring two goals, her lowest return since her arrival in 2020.The Athletic reported on Wednesday that Beth Mead had reached an agreement to sign with Manchester City following her departure from the Emirates at the end of her contract. Arsenal have also lost Katie McCabe, who joined Chelsea this month on a three-year deal.Foord, however, has renewed to join 21-year-old Olivia Smith — who enjoyed a bright WSL maiden campaign — and England international Chloe Kelly as options on the wings, both of whom joined last summer.Stina Blackstenius renewed her contract in April as did Alessia Russo and Frida Maanum last year while Michelle Agyemang returned to the grass this week following her anterior cruciate ligament injury.Foord, who signed from Sydney FC under former manager Joe Montemurro, has made 203 appearances in all competitions and scored 57 goals. The Australia international has helped Arsenal win four trophies — including the Champions League, FIFA Champions Cup and consecutive League Cups. During Arsenal’s 2024-2025 European winning campaign, she registered seven goals and four assists in 15 appearances. At international level she has earned 150 caps, scoring 41 goals for her country.
