Cabinet Secretaries who fail to honour invites to the Senate plenary to answer questions have been put on the spot for failing to discharge their mandates on the floor of the house.
Senators accused Lands Cabinet Secretary Alice Wahome of failing to come to the house on Wednesday morning to answer questions, while Mining Cabinet Secretary Hassan Joho failed to appear before the house last week.
Senate Speaker Amason Kingi informed the house that the Clerk of the Senate Jeremiah Nyegenye received a letter from the office of the Lands Cabinet Secretary on Tuesday evening that she will not be available due to prior planned engagements.
