Kainos, Northern Ireland’s largest software firm, said it planned to create 341 new jobs over the next three years amid growing customer demand for AI services, in a move ministers touted as an example of how the technology could create, rather than supplant human roles.
Of the total, 32 jobs are expected to be created in Londonderry, with the remaining 341 in Belfast.
The roles are to include software engineering, platform and data engineering, AI and data science, architecture, product and Workday platform consulting, as well as delivery, design and business support roles.
