The cabinet has convened a special meeting to approve the budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year.
The meeting began at 10am on Thursday in the cabinet room of the parliament under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, said the Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman.
The budget had been approved by the cabinet and signed by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman before it went to the president
The meeting of the executive committee comes ahead of the budget speech in parliament on Thursday
