The Tennessee native earned the 2024 Tennessee Softball Gatorade Player of the Year award with Gordonsville High School. There, she led her team to two 1A state championships in 2023 and 2024. On the base path, she was 10-for-12 in stolen bases. As a freshman in 2024, McKee made 17 starts at third base with 20 assists, 13 putouts, turning two double plays.
