UPDATE: June 10, 2026: Aluminum producer Novelis has restarted its hot mill operations in Oswego, New York, after two fires damaged the facility last year.
“We are deeply grateful for the flexibility and partnerships our customers have shown, as well as the extraordinary efforts of our employees, suppliers and industry peers who came together to support continuity of supply,” Steve Fisher, Novelis president and CEO, said in a statement Wednesday.
The company, a major supplier to Ford and other automakers, said it will work closely with customers to ramp up supply now that the facility is back online. During the outage, Novelis relied on a global network of hot mills and finishing operations to meet domestic demand.
