Abu Dhabi Power, a unit of new investment vehicle L’imad Holding, acquired 2PointZero’s full stake in Taqa, adding 9,095,702,934 shares.
The deal lifts L’imad’s ownership of Taqa to 98.12 per cent of issued share capital, with Abu Dhabi Power’s holding up by 8.09 per cent.
2PointZero Group’s divestment forms part of ongoing strategic initiatives and portfolio optimisation efforts across high-growth areas including food security and advanced energy.
The consolidation aligns with Abu Dhabi’s strategy to diversify beyond oil by streamlining assets and creating a sovereign investment powerhouse with a diversified base.
