New!/$770

Insta360’s growing camera lineup now has a new addition in the form of Luna Ultra – an 8K handheld stabilized camera. This particular model originally launched in China, but it’s now up for grabs as a solid alternative to DJI’s Osmo Pocket 4 and Pocket 4P – both of which aren’t sold in the US. The new Insta360 Luna Ultra, on the other hand, is readily available for $769.99 shipped through Insta360’s online store and other retailers, including Amazon, B&H, and Best Buy. Head below for a closer look and more details.

Insta360 Luna Ultra now up for grabs in the US

The Luna Ultra features a dual-camera setup, headlined by a 1-inch sensor capable of capturing 8K footage and paired with a Leica Summicron lens. Alongside it is a secondary 1/1.3-inch telephoto camera that supports up to 12x zoom, including 6x lossless zoom. For stills, the camera can capture images at up to 37 megapixels, while video recording tops out at 8K/30fps, much like Insta360’s Ace Pro 2. Shooting in 8K also unlocks features such as Dolby Vision, 10-bit I-Log recording, Leica-developed color profiles, and a selection of in-camera cinematic filters. You’ll have to step down to 4K if you need higher frame rates, where the Luna Ultra can record at up to 60fps or 120fps for slow-motion footage as well. You will, however, need to drop further down to 1080p 240fps.
