The self-proclaimed seventh son officially has his seventh solo album on the way.
After quietly dropping a presale link for his latest album on his Third Man Records website on Tuesday, Jack White officially announced Frozen Charlotte and its upcoming release on Wednesday, dropping the album’s lead single “Dollar Bill” today as well. The album will release on July 10, the same day he starts the North American leg of his tour.
Other than “Dollar Bill,” “Derecho Demonico” and “G.O.D. and the Broken Ribs,” which White had released earlier this year, will also appear on the album.
White had first teased the project through several Easter eggs hidden in his new online series Third Man Release Lab. The tease and unannounced album arrival on his site isn’t White’s first time employing an unorthodox release method for his music; back in 2024, he discreetly dropped his sixth album No Name by giving away unmarked copies for free to anyone who made a purchase at his Third Man Records stores. He subsequently gave a more official release for the Grammy-nominated album a month later.
While Frozen Charlotte marks White’s first album in two years, he’s certainly kept busy.
