United States President Donald Trump has intensified his rhetoric against Iran, declaring that the country's military has been "completely defeated" and warning Tehran that it would "pay the price" for failing to reach a negotiated agreement with Washington.

Trump's comments came amid escalating tensions in the Middle East following recent military exchanges involving the United States, Israel and Iran, raising fresh concerns about the possibility of a wider regional conflict.

On Tuesday, US Military carried out strikes in Iran which it described as self-defence, against Iranain downing of its Apache aircraft earlier. Shortly after US military command announced the successful completion of operation, Iran launched a wave of missile and drones retaliatory attack on US military facilities in Middle East.

However, in a statement posted on his Truth Social platform on Wednesday, Trump claimed that Iran's military capabilities had been severely degraded.
