The arraignment was over a fresh alleged N13million fraud case linked to claims that she was battling Stage 4 breast cancer.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Lagos Zonal Directorate 2, on Wednesday, arraigned social media influencer and self-styled relationship therapist, Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO, before Justice Yelim Bogoro of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos.
The arraignment was over a fresh alleged N13million fraud case linked to claims that she was battling Stage 4 breast cancer.
According to the anti-graft agency, Blessing CEO was docked on a six-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and retaining proceeds of alleged fraud amounting to N13,000,000.
The EFCC said the charges followed several petitions submitted by individuals and organisations, including the Nigeria Cancer Society, over donations allegedly made to the defendant after she posted on social media that she was suffering from Stage 4 breast cancer and required financial assistance for treatment.
