The Osun State Police Command has commenced investigations into shooting incidents that occurred on Tuesday in parts of the state.
This is contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi.
Ojelabi said the command expressed deep concern over the incidents, which left some passers-by injured in the affected areas.
He noted that, following reports of the shootings, the Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan, directed the Command’s Violent Crime Response Unit, Department of Operations, and Intelligence Units to launch a thorough investigation aimed at arresting and prosecuting those responsible.
