RIYADH: The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture will host the inaugural Saudi Water Week from June 28 to July 2, building on the legacy of previous sessions of the Saudi Water Forum as the Kingdom steps up efforts to strengthen water security and support sustainable water management.

The water week, which will be held in Jeddah, is expected to serve as a specialized international platform that brings together policymakers, experts, researchers, private-sector leaders, and stakeholders from Saudi Arabia and abroad.

According to the ministry, the Saudi Water Week will feature a wide range of specialized events, including the Arab Water Forum and the second stakeholder consultation meeting for the 11th World Water Forum.

The 11th World Water Forum, set to be held in Riyadh in 2027, is considered the world’s largest event focused on water issues, bringing together governments, international organizations and leading experts from around the globe.

The stakeholder consultation meeting for the 11th World Water Forum, which will take place during the water week, is viewed as a key milestone in preparations for the global event, underscoring Saudi Arabia’s growing international role in tackling water-related challenges and advancing global cooperation in the sector.
