GamingFootball ManagerUpdate 26.3.2 has half a dozen bug fixes as well as a fully-licensed World Cup tournament - including one squad that had been missing up to now12:41, 10 Jun 2026Football Manager 26 has launched its latest update, bringing its officially licensed FIFA World Cup tournament bang up to date just in time for kick-off.‌After releasing the initial World Cup update last month, Sports Interactive has now updated the FM26 database with all 48 nations' finalised squads. The deadline for the likes of Thomas Tuchel and Carlo Ancelotti to submit their 26-man squads was Monday, June 1 - a few days after the FM26 update went live.‌Players can now dive into the quick-start World Cup mode and take control of any of the 48 nations taking part. That includes Japan, who were previously not included due to licensing issues but have been included in Update 26.3.2, which was released yesterday (Tuesday, June 9).‌However, the Japan squad in game is fully licensed - a move that FM26 fans call a "seriously huge deal". This is because the official Japan national team license tends to be exclusive to Konami, the developers and publishers of eFootball and, previously, Pro Evolution Soccer. The addition of all 48 final squads is a welcome addition just in time for the real-life tournament, which kicks off on Thursday, June 11. Fans are speculating that it might be the final update we get for FM26, which has suffered a life cycle beleaguered by bugs and unloved new features.‌On Reddit, fans hailed the inclusion of the Japan team. One wrote: "This is actually a huge deal. Like a seriously huge deal."Another said: "Been waiting for this since it came out and I thought it had to eventually. I don't know why but I can’t play without all the official squads."A third Redditor said: "Same, I just got the game, installed all the name fixes, faces, logos, 3D stadiums, kits but did not play a single game as I was waiting for this update. I needed the official squads."‌Alongside these two big changes, there are a handful of bug fixes correcting issues that have caused crashes.
