The Detention Follow-up Committee announced that despite the issuance of a bail order for Azar Yahoo, a political prisoner held in Mashhad's Vakilabad Prison, security and prison officials have blocked her release.
According to the report, Azar Yahoo has been in detention since March 1 on charges including "insulting the Supreme Leader" and "relations with Israel." The Detention Follow-up Committee also stated that she is currently being held in the "Aramesh" (Tranquility) Ward of Vakilabad Prison and, despite her poor physical and psychological condition, remains deprived of access to the medical treatment she requires.
According to the organization, Azar Yahoo underwent surgery prior to her arrest and requires continued treatment and transfers to medical centers. However, no action has been taken by prison officials to address her medical condition so far.
