I write on behalf of the Black Business League NPC to appeal for urgent financial sponsorship and institutional support for a group of talented young black Judo athletes from Gqebera in the Eastern Cape who have earned the honour to represent South Africa at the Cadet & Junior Africa Championships to be held in Morocco from 23 to 26 July 2026.
These four young athletes have demonstrated exceptional discipline, resilience, commitment, and sporting excellence to reach this level of competition. Their achievements are particularly remarkable given that many come from communities facing socio-economic challenges, including high levels of crime, gangsterism, unemployment, substance abuse and limited access to opportunities.
