Harriet Sperling and Peter Phillips's big day was the perfect occasion for British high society and Royal Family members to show off their fashion prowess.But some fared better than others, if the results of the Daily Mail's poll are anything to go by. Readers were given the opportunity to have their say and vote for the best dressed guest at the royal wedding.In a surprising turn of events, it was the men who came out on top – with the Prince of Wales, Mike Tindall, Princess Eugenie's other half Jack Brooksbank and Princess Beatrice's husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi securing the first four places.The ladies' looks proved more divisive. For instance, the Princess of Wales's immaculate £750 cream boucle Roland Mouret dress topped with a recycled boater-style Jane Taylor hat and Kiki McDonough earrings scored 799 'up votes'.However, the outfit received nearly as many 'down votes' (731), meaning overall her percentage of positive votes dropped to 52.20 per cent compared to her husband's 84.60 per cent.Prince William put on a dapper display in Kemble on Saturday in a sharp suit teamed with a blue waistcoat and tie – matching the groom, while Mike, Zara Tindall's former England rugby star husband, also stuck to the blue theme.Meanwhile, the highest ranked ensemble when it came to the women was a guest who wore an elegant blue and red floral gown, paired with a cream hat and comfortable wedges.The least popular outfit was a yellow lace minidress worn by one of the attendees, who teamed the striking number with purple accessories.Read the full results of the first round below – before having your say on the worst and best dressed guests in our poll...
