Hollywood actress, Angelina Jolie and her daughter, Zahara Marley.
Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has submitted a legal filing to remove "Pitt" from her name. This formal request comes only months after she first began distancing herself from the surname in public.
She follows in the footsteps of several of her siblings, who previously opted to legally excise the Pitt surname in favour of using Jolie exclusively.
According to online reports, the 21-year-old submitted a petition at the Los Angeles Superior Court on June 4 to remove her father's surname from her current legal name, Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, seeking to be legally recognised as only Zahara Marley Jolie.
Zahara hinted at a possible name change more than once because, back in May, she made headlines when she graduated from Spelman College in Atlanta with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology.
