President Lee Jae Myung offered an apology Wednesday following a poll showing a sharp drop in his approval rating, pledging to work harder with greater inclusiveness.
"I humbly accept the objective assessment of the people," Lee wrote on his X account, citing a news report of a recent public poll that showed his approval rating falling 9.4 percentage points to 50.4 percent.
"I am sorry to the people," he said. "I will work hard, more humbly, with broader outreach and greater inclusiveness," the president said.
Lee had enjoyed approval ratings hovering around 60 percent.
