Fox News contributor Kellyanne Conway is coming under criticism for a hypocritical attack she made on a Democratic candidate that could just as easily apply to her former boss: President Donald Trump. Conway, who was Trump’s campaign manager in 2016 and served in the White House during his first term, slammed Graham Platner, who won the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate in Maine on Tuesday night despite a series of controversies. “He is not senatorial,” Conway said. “He is satirical.” Platner has been accused of “unsettling behavior” toward women he’s dated, writing offensive posts on Reddit, sending explicit messages to women other than his wife, and more. Platner has blamed then-undiagnosed post-traumatic stress disorder, and said he is working to be better. “Ladies and gentlemen, what else do you need?” Conway asked, then wondered if there was a “magic number” of scandals that would end support for his campaign. Kellyanne: Is there any number of scandals that would make you stop? Putting on with women that are not your wife? Would it be the lying? Would it be insulting heroes? Is power really worth that to you? pic.twitter.com/0pmpDVFJO0— Acyn (@Acyn) June 10, 2026She called Platner out for his behavior with women, lying, “insulting heroes,” and more. “So I’d ask the Democrats: Is power really worth that to you?” she said. “Because power for power’s sake is the definition of corruption.” Conway also said that, as a Christian, she believed in redemption and second chances, but urged Platner to seek that outside of politics. Many found those comments rich considering Conway’s past work for Trump and continued vocal support for Trump on Fox News given his own history with women, which includes being found liable for sexual abuse, as well as his extensive lying, corruption, and a track record of insulting heroes. They hit back on X: It is stunning to hear this from Kellyanne. Does she not hear herself? Is she truly not aware of the staggering hypocrisy? https://t.co/1zEkuIoOUr— David French (@DavidAFrench) June 10, 2026Wish Kellyanne had given this advice to Trump when the "Hollywood Access" tape was released. https://t.co/toBkQwFiA1— 🦬 Dr Red Bison, PhD @redbison.bsky ♀🏳️🌈🌻 (@RedBison) June 10, 2026When the Access Hollywood tape came out, Kellyanne Conway was the biggest defender of Donald Trump. She's stuck with him through rape allegations and the Epstein files. https://t.co/NnckcopepE— Hemant Mehta (@hemantmehta) June 10, 2026RelatedDonald Trumpkellyanne conwaygraham platner
