Prime Video has released the first trailer for Elle, the upcoming prequel series set before the events of Legally Blonde, offering fans a look at the formative years of one of pop culture’s most beloved characters.Starring Lexi Minetree as a teenage Elle Woods, the eight-episode series travels back to 1995 and explores the experiences that shaped the confident future lawyer long before she became a fish out of water at Harvard. The newly released trailer follows Elle as she navigates the challenges of high school, balancing friendships, first love, family expectations, and the social pressures of being popular in high school.A major focus of the series is a dramatic move from Los Angeles to Seattle, which abruptly changes Elle’s place in the social hierarchy. The story also places greater emphasis on her relationship with her mother, highlighting the family bond that helps guide her through difficult moments.Alongside Minetree, the cast includes June Diane Raphael, Tom Everett Scott, Jacob Moskovitz, Gabrielle Policano, Chandler Kinney, Zac Looker, and Amy Pietz. Recurring guest stars include James Van Der Beek, David Burtka, Jessica Belkin, Lisa Yamada, and Logan Shroyer.The series was created by Laura Kittrell, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer. Reese Witherspoon, who famously portrayed Elle Woods in the original film franchise, is among the project’s executive producers.Prime Video has already expressed confidence in the series’ future, renewing Elle for a second season ahead of its debut.All eight episodes of Elle will premiere on Prime Video on July 1.
