Siri AI may eventually nudge users to take a break
Among the growing concerns about conversational chatbots is that some users can become overly attached to them or spend long stretches of time talking to them as if they were real people.
In extreme cases, reports have described episodes of so-called “AI psychosis,” or “chatbot psychosis,” in which users develop delusional beliefs or see existing mental health struggles worsen after prolonged chatbot interactions.
That has led companies such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google to add safety measures meant to remind users of the limits of AI companions and encourage healthier usage.
