The iPhone 17 models use TSMC’s 3nm process, but the company is widely expected to adopt 2nm chips next year.
It wasn’t initially clear whether this would be exclusive to the high-end models, but a report back in March suggested that all of next year’s iPhones would get the smaller process chip. Apple is expected to lead the way with the most advanced smartphone processor chip designs, with a recent attempt to steal details of the technology.
