The source added that Dangata may have drawn the government's ire after making comments comparing Governor Sani unfavourably with former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai.

The Kaduna State Government under Governor Uba Sani has reportedly ordered the arrest of a political activist, Zamani Musa, popularly known as Mycah Dangata, over comments calling on residents to work against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of future elections.

Sources familiar with the development told SaharaReporters that Dangata was arrested after publicly campaigning against the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sani while urging Kaduna residents to reject all candidates presented by the APC.

According to a source who spoke to SaharaReporters, Dangata's arrest followed the circulation of a video he recorded shortly after the APC primaries, during which he openly declared support for the National Democratic Coalition (NDC) and former Senator Danjuma Laah, while also advocating a shift of political power to Southern Kaduna.

"There is a popular video Dangata made after the APC primaries in which he started campaigning and also declared support for NDC and Danjuma Laah, insisting that power must shift to Southern Kaduna," the source said.
