A 62-year-old man, who may have been a senior Russian military official, was reportedly killed when his BMW X3 was blown up in the Moscow suburb of Balashikha on Tuesday morning. Russian authorities confirmed the about 5:30 a.m. explosion, which happened near a high-rise building, and opened a criminal case, but have not disclosed the victim’s identity. Multiple Telegram channels suggest he was either a senior officer in Russia’s Aerospace Forces or the Defense Ministry’s head of missile and artillery command.
