When Islamic State took power it opened the floodgates for rape and chaos. An Australian woman was among those who chose to be part of it, a court has been told. But next week Melbourne Magistrates' Court could allow ISIS bride Zeinab Ahmad to walk free on bail until her trial. Ahmad, 31, is facing two counts of crimes against humanity, including enslavement and using a slave, which was allegedly authorised by an ISIS 'slave-rape handbook'.If released, she will live with her uncle Abraham Abbas, who lashed out at media in last month's Melbourne Airport melee when some of the brides returned to Australia.Mr Abbas is the brother of Ahmad's mother and alleged slaver Kawsar Abbas, who was also arrested and charged but also hopes to win bail in the coming weeks. The Daily Mail is not suggesting Mr Abbas is in any way affiliated with the terror group, and last week told a court he was fully aware of what they stood for. 'I hate those b****rds,' he said.'They're evil and they don’t represent anything we believe in Islam at all.' Zeinab Ahmad wants to be released back into the community His niece was living in Syria with her family during Islamic State's reign and the court heard startling details of what IS said was acceptable.'The Islamic State Office of Research and Fatwas published the pamphlet "Su’al wa-Jawab fi al-Sabi wa-Riqab" [Questions and Answers on Taking Captives and Slaves],' Detective Senior Constable Marc Clendenning told the court.'[It] states that it is permissible to rape female captives, to sell, purchase, gift or trade slaves, and outlines instructions around the sexual abuse of slaves.'The Q&A also provides for the physical punishment of female captives as a “form of discipline” within certain limits.'The Australian Federal Police officer spent almost a day outlining the grotesque ways female captives were treated by ISIS. 'On May 9, 2015, Issue 9 of Dabiq included an article entitled "Slave-girls or Prostitutes" which defended Islamic State’s practice of rape in the taking and enslaving of Yazidi women and encouraged captors to marry female slaves,' he said. 'Also in 2015, the Islamic State published a "Pamphlet on slavery: The Creator’s Maxims on Captivity and Enslavement" further justifying the captivity and enslavement of “disbelievers at war”.'One of the main goals was “humiliation”. The pamphlet again justifies the rape of slaves.'
