The pair, who played Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy respectively in the wizarding franchise, couldn't have looked more pleased to see each other as they embraced in a tight hug. Daniel was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play for Every Brilliant Thing, but lost to John Lithgow in Giant.However the loss didn't seem to have dented his spirits as he caught up with his old pal. Daniel and Tom have remained good friends despite their publicly contrasting views on Harry Potter creator JK Rowling's controversial anti-trans crusade.The duo's views have very publicly contrasted ever since Daniel opposed and Tom supported JK Rowling, 60, in her vocal opposition to the view that gender identity is different from birth sex.
