The Stand One charger from Nomad got a massive visual upgrade that leaves the view of the Qi2 wireless charging coil unimpeded, giving off serious clear-tech retro vibes.

Nomad listed the Stellar Orange Stand One as a limited edition, with no indication of how many units would be produced. It’s obviously catered towards Apple users, but nothing about it means it’s limited to iOS devices. In fact, the Stand One uses Qi2 wireless charging rated for current Android devices like the Pixel 10.

The centerpiece of the limited design run is the Qi2 coil and magnet assembly. Instead of padding it with an opaque silicone cap, Nomad is leaving the outer material see-through, with the entire array of magnets and meticulously wrapped copper wire visible.

Nomad is clearly doing this to bring an orange flavor to iOS users, considering the color option has taken off over the last couple of years. To me, though, this feels similar to the move Microsoft just made, releasing the 25th anniversary clear Xbox Series X.

The company is still using a soft material to keep your naked Pixel from getting scratched. Material design is what makes Nomad’s wireless charger one of our favorites. The entire stand is made of metal, giving a dense build that feels premium. Behind the coil, the front faceplate almost has this pearlescent sheen.
