Another two Linkin Park efforts, Meteora and Minutes to Midnight, have also held on for at least a year. The first of those two has spent 69 weeks on the Official Albums chart, while Minutes to Midnight barely passed a full calendar year, and it is steady with its 53 stints somewhere on the rundown.Hybrid Theory Made Linkin Park SuperstarsHybrid Theory debuted on the Official Albums chart in January 2001, and it turned Linkin Park into global superstars and also helped popularize nu metal, bringing the burgeoning genre to never-before-seen heights. Hybrid Theory is counted among the band's 10 top 10s on the main albums list in the U.K., but it did not climb to No. 1. The project stalled at No. 4, and it wasn't until the group's sophomore follow-up Meteora – with remix album Reanimation sandwiched between them – that the group scored its first leader.Hybrid Theory Lives on Four U.K. RankingsHybrid Theory appears on four charts in the U.K., the most among the group's four projects that appear on any ranking.
