A high-level delegation from the national leadership of the Kwankwasiyya Movement has held a closed-door meeting with the National Leader of the National Democratic Coalition (NDC), Senator Henry Seriake Dickson and the party leadership, in an effort to resolve lingering disputes between the movement and legacy officials of the coalition in Kano State.
The meeting, which took place on Monday night and lasted several hours, was described by party officials as productive and focused on addressing grievances that have threatened unity within the party's Kano chapter.
According to a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary of the NDC, Osa Director Esq., the discussions centered on finding a lasting solution to disagreements between the Kwankwasiyya movement and longstanding party officials in the state.
Osa disclosed that Senator Dickson and the national leadership of the NDC have stepped into the matter as mediators in a bid to ensure fairness, inclusiveness and broad participation among party members ahead of key political activities.
