In a tragic turn of events, three brothers from Hyderabad were feared drowned in Godavari River at Basar in Nirmal district during a pilgrimage to the famous temple town on Tuesday.According to the police, the trio was identified as N. Chandrasekhar, 38, N. Ramchander, 36, and N. Mallesh Kumar, 31, all small businessmen of Chappal Bazar near Kacheguda in Hyderabad.The three siblings from a small business family had come to Basar along with their family members on Tuesday morning to offer prayers at the historic Gnana Saraswati temple. They ventured into the river to take a holy dip when the incident occurred.They were swept away by a strong undercurrent while attempting to save each other, sources added.The local police rushed to the spot and launched a search operation in the river by deploying the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) personnel and swimmers to trace the missing trio.The father of the trio wailed inconsolably sitting on the banks of the river along with his other distraught family members even as the search operation continued till evening.
