I’m not big into grill accessories. I rely on my stainless-steel work table for seamless cooking; I take standard kitchen tongs and a fish spatula outside for all food maneuvering; and to start my charcoal, I use a chimney stuffed with newspaper pages and a long lighter to get it all going. That’s it. Those are my necessities but also the bare minimum. I go for the practical and the space-saving, and that’s why I’m partial to a particular long lighter — one that would make an excellent Father’s Day gift for any dads who like to grill.
