AsiaPhos, a former phosphate mining company based in Singapore, has proposed the acquisition of a data center in Perth, Australia.
The company is proposing to acquire a majority stake (51 percent) in Australian data center operator DC Alliance for AUD7.65 million (US$5.4m), as per a Letter of Intent signed on June 8.

A Letter of Intent typically sets out initial terms for an argument and is usually non-binding. However, the agreement provides AsiaPhos with a 90-day exclusivity period to conduct due diligence and negotiate a final agreement.
This will give AsiaPhos effective control of Pier DC – otherwise known as the DCA | PIER Facility – a 2MW facility owned by DC Alliance. Located in Canning Vale industrial precinct in southern Perth, AsiaPhos intends to expand the facility up to 8MW.
