Netflix subscribers usually have a taste for all things true crime, and the latest crime drama miniseries, “The Witness,” is already proving to be a hit. Directed by Alex Winckler, the series quickly climbed to the top of Netflix's charts and debuted with a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. It recounts the aftermath of the tragic 1992 murder of 23-year-old Rachel Nickell, who was killed on Wimbledon Common in London while out walking her dog. Rather than focusing on the investigation itself, the drama centers on the family left behind and the years they spent coping with the devastating loss.“The Witness” follows André Hanscombe (Jordan Bolger) and his young son Alex (Jahsiah Williams) after the 1992 murder of Rachel Nickell (Eleanor Williams) on Wimbledon Common in London.
