India strongly criticised Pakistan at the United Nations Security Council on June 9 over Islamabad's decision to label certain groups as “Fitna al-Hindustan”, calling the move state-sponsored misinformation disguised in religious terminology. India's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Harish Parvathaneni, said the designation reflected an organised campaign of hate and disinformation emanating from Pakistan's deep state.
