June Direct/Live today
After waiting, more or less, a full year for Nintendo to host a major Nintendo Direct for Switch 2, the day has finally arrived. Yesterday Nintendo made it official – it is hosting a full-on 2026 summer Nintendo Direct and it goes live today.

There have been an inordinate amount of Nintendo leaks and rumors this year, and one of them was that we weren’t getting a proper Nintendo Direct until June. Even that started to feel like it was a long shot, but lo and behold, Nintendo made an official announcement yesterday and we are now just hours out from big Nintendo Direct June 2026 summer edition.
Nintendo has already told us today’s Direct main event will run for roughly 50-minutes with new reveals and updates on Switch and Switch 2 games. However, we are also getting a lengthy Nintendo Treehouse: Live stream immediately thereafter that will be showcasing roughly 95 minutes of gameplay from titles featured in today’s Direct.
