KBRA’s Neel Munot Named to CREFC’s 20 Under 40 Class of 2026

KBRA is pleased to announce that Neel Munot, Senior Director in the firm’s commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) group, has been named to the CRE Finance Council’s (CREFC) 20 Under 40 Class of 2026, recognizing outstanding young professionals who are helping shape the future of commercial real estate (CRE) finance.

The annual CREFC 20 Under 40 program honors rising leaders across the CRE finance market who have demonstrated exceptional professional achievement, industry engagement, and leadership. Recipients represent a broad cross-section of the industry, including lenders, investors, servicers, private equity firms, rating agencies, and other market participants.

Over nearly a decade at KBRA, Munot has played a key role in expanding and strengthening the firm’s CRE platform. He recently led the development of KBRA’s Data Center ABS rating methodology, establishing the analytical framework, rating assumptions, and credit models that support one of the market’s fastest-growing real estate sectors. In addition, he helped expand KBRA’s North American CMBS methodology, including coverage of Canadian transactions, and has contributed extensively to the firm’s research efforts, including publications on CMBS loan defaults and losses as well as KBRA’s CMBS Loss Compendium.
