The abducted principal of Community High School, Esiele, in Oyo State, Mrs. Rachael Alamu, has appeared in a fresh video from captivity, dismissing reports that her captors are demanding the imposition of Sharia law, money, weapons, or the release of a billionaire.
In the video, which surfaced on social media on Monday and was seen by SaharaReporters, Mrs. Alamu said misleading reports about the demands of the abductors were complicating efforts to secure the freedom of the kidnapped teachers and students.
According to her, the kidnappers’ only demand is the release of some of their detained members.
“Today makes it the 24th day that we have been in this place and it seems that some people are making our problems complicated already,” Mrs. Alamu said.
