Fitness influencer Dolly has revealed the dietary changes she made during her weight loss journey, claiming that eliminating seven common food categories helped her reduce excess calorie intake and remain consistent with her fitness goals.In an Instagram post, Dolly said sustainable dietary and lifestyle modifications played an important role in her transformation from 145 kg to 90 kg. Sugary drinks replaced with healthier beveragesOne of the first changes Dolly made was eliminating sugary drinks from her diet due to their high sugar content and calorie load.She instead opted for alternatives such as lemon water, coconut water and unsweetened green tea.White bread swapped for whole grainsDolly also removed white bread from her meals, noting that refined carbohydrates can lead to rapid increases in blood sugar levels and may encourage overeating.To replace it, she chose whole wheat bread, multigrain bread and oats.Packaged snacks cut from daily dietChips and packaged snacks were another category she avoided because of their high salt content and calorie density.As substitutes, she preferred roasted makhana, roasted chana and nuts consumed in moderation.Fast food removed from meal planAccording to Dolly, fast food was excluded from her diet because of its combination of fat, salt and calories.She replaced it with options such as paneer sandwiches, whole wheat vegetable wraps and homemade meals.Alternatives used to manage sweet cravingsIce cream was also eliminated due to its high sugar and calorie content.To satisfy cravings, she turned to Greek yoghurt with fruits, frozen banana smoothies and small portions of dark chocolate.Alcohol and processed foods avoidedDolly said she quit alcohol during her weight loss journey, stating that it contributed to dehydration and facial puffiness.She instead consumed sparkling water with lemon, fresh fruit juice without added sugar and detox water.Processed foods were also removed from her diet because of their sodium content and additives. Her focus shifted to whole-food protein sources including eggs, tofu, paneer, curd, dal and plant-based protein.Consistency remains keyConcluding her post, Dolly emphasised the importance of consistency alongside dietary changes."Reduce these foods, drink more water, sleep well and stay consistent. Your body will lean out faster," she said.
