Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad checking Sivaganga Collector’s Office on Monday.

A bomb threat was issued once again to the Sivaganga District Collector’s office here on Monday.Thirty-six offices, including those of the District Collector, District Superintendent of Police, Electricity Board, and Education Department, operate within the Sivaganga District Collectorate complex.On April 28, a bomb threat was received by the District Collector’s Office. Following a search by Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), it was declared as a hoax.Similarly, a bomb threat letter was received again on Monday through the District Collector’s e-mail. In it, it was mentioned that seven gelatin bombs had been placed and that they would explode at 1.10 p.m.Following that, BDDS team were brought in, and a search was conducted.
