The Greater Chennai Police detained 16 members of the All India Students’ Federation (AISF), after they staged a protest in front of the CBSE regional office in Anna Nagar on Monday without prior permission. They were later released. The protesters demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, alleging irregularities in CBSE examinations and the NEET question paper leak.The protesters displayed placards carrying slogans critical of the Union government.
