Prakasam Ddistrict Collector P. Raja Babu participated in a yoga session organised by the AYUSH Department as part of the ongoing Yogandhra-2026 initiative in Ongole on Monday (June 8, 2026).On this occasion, he said, “Physical health and mental peace can be achieved through yoga practice. The government has paid special attention to ensuring a healthy State. As part of this effort, steps are being taken to encourage people to incorporate yoga into their daily lives.”Mr. Raja Babu said, “Similar programmes are being organised from village to district level for the next 15 days. Yoga is an art that originated in India and has spread all over the world. It is a good way to stay healthy and peaceful.”In Nellore, Joint Collector Mogili Venkateswarlu participated in a mass yoga programme at Ramatheertham Beach in the Vidavalur mandal of the district. He stated that yoga ensures physical strength, mental peace, and concentration.The Joint Collector stated that yoga plays a key role in overcoming health problems arising from the modern lifestyle. He described it as a great tool for promoting balance between the body, mind, and soul, adding that everyone should devote some time to yoga daily and adopt a healthy lifestyle.Yoga gurus Dr. Swapna, Jayanti and Yoshita explained the importance of each asana and its health benefits.
