Thomas Tuchel is convinced England can overcome their goal shortage.
You might not think England has a problem when they boast one of the most lethal strikers of all time. Harry Kane is now in the top ten list of all-time international goal scorers as well as being England’s record scorer with 79 goals in 113 caps.
But, incredibly, Kane now has 12 more goals than the rest of the squad put together - and that must be a real concern for Tuchel. England’s other forwards are just not chipping in enough goals to back up Kane’s figures which highlights an underlying issue that the Three Lions are too reliant on their Captain Marvel.
Kane finished his season with Bayern Munich with 61 goals in all competitions and says he feels like he is in the form and shape of his life. The problem when you are that good and that prolific is that it probably makes everyone else look bad - and it raises major concerns about how they would cope without him.
