Saudi Arabia hosts 39th Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union conference by videoconference
RIYADH: Saudi Arabia will host the 39th Conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) by videoconference on June 10-11 under the patronage of King Salman.
The meeting, organized by the Saudi Shoura Council and the AIPU, will bring together speakers of Arab parliaments and legislative councils along with delegates from several regional organizations.
Shoura Council Speaker Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh said the royal patronage reflected Saudi Arabia’s support for joint Arab cooperation and efforts to reinforce regional security and stability.
He said Arab parliamentary coordination was essential for confronting shared challenges, unifying positions and promoting development and integration across the Arab world.
